UAE Abu Dhabi Big Ticket Draw: For Rajeev Arikat, an Indian immigrant living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the ‘date of birth’ of his children proved to be so ‘lucky’ that it made him a millionaire.
Arikat has won 15 million dirhams i.e. about Rs 33 crore in the Big Ticket Abu Dhabi weekly draw. He and his wife had purchased the tickets for the ‘draw’ on the ‘date of birth’ numbers of their two children. After this the happiness of the family increased manifold.
According to the report of Khaleej Times, this unexpected incident that changed the life of Indian immigrant Rajiv Arikat is completely surprising. Rajiv had got a free ticket with number 037130 during raffle draw number 260, due to which he has become the owner of Rs 33 crore.
Rajeev, who works in an architectural firm in Al Ain, has been participating in the ‘Big Ticket Draw’ for the last three years. His family includes his wife and two small children aged 5 and 8 years respectively.
‘No plan has been made yet on lottery money’
The interesting thing is that Rajiv has not yet made any special plan regarding the winning amount of this lottery but he wants to distribute this lottery amount equally with 19 other people. Their generosity will prove to be a source of happiness among a larger community.
Rajiv had missed victory two months ago
According to the report of Khaleej Times, Rajiv had bought the ticket on January 11. Rajiv told that he has been living in Al Ain for more than 10 years. At the same time, we have been buying tickets continuously for the last 3 years.
He said, “This is the first time that I have won a lottery ticket. This time my wife and I had chosen tickets with numbers 7 and 13, which are the dates of birth of our children.
He also said that two months ago he had unfortunately missed the combination to win Dh1 million lottery but this time he proved to be ‘lucky’.
This 40 year old man, originally from Kerala, had great hopes of winning the lottery. Actually he had a total of 6 tickets for the draw. The surprising thing was that the complimentary ticket made him the winner.

This time because there were 6 tickets in the draw, I was more hopeful of winning.
